Hello LIVC, goodbye CMNN

Live Current has a new stock ticker symbol, "LIVC", which will take effect at the open of the markets today. The change in trading symbol reflects the company’s official name change from Communicate.com Inc. to Live Current Media Inc. The company also announced the appointment of a new transfer agent & registrar.

    Murdoch, and Dow Jones, expanding in India

    News Corp. head Rupert Murdoch said his STAR brand will invest $100 million to create six regional TV channels in India, the world's fastest-growing media market. Murdoch is in India to launch a new index of India's leading stocks, the Dow Jones India Titans 30.

    DreamWorks Nears Venture Deal in India

    A deal between the principals of DreamWorks SKG and one of India's largest entertainment conglomerates to set up a new film company is on the brink of completion, according to people familiar with the matter.

    Under the agreement, Mumbai-based Reliance ADA Group would invest about $500 million equity in the new movie venture and another $500 million in debt through J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., giving DreamWorks co-founder Steven Spielberg the financial backing he needs to split from Viacom Inc.'s Paramount Pictures.
